Our patients place their trust in us to provide the highest level of care, and we take that trust quite seriously. We strive to make all of our patients feel that they are special.
If patients are apprehensive about their treatment, we can provide oral sedation. However, in order to help patients have a comfortable dental appointment, Dr. Corey investigates the source of the apprehension to determine its cause: Is it anxiety about the needle, the sound of the drill, or whether the procedure will be painful? Once we have an understanding of the patient’s apprehension, we can allay their fears. After the first or second appointments, they begin to relax because of the essentially pain-free treatment and the comforting, supportive environment that Dr. Corey and his staff provide.
In addition, we have video monitors in the waiting area that display the Caesy patient education software that provides information and entertainment for children and a wealth of information to adults as well. These clips describe a wide variety of family dentistry and cosmetic dentistry procedures. Also, each treatment room is equipped with state of the art equipment such as computers with flat screen monitors. These provide the opportunity for patients to listen to relaxing music or watch a DVD of their choice during their visit.
If a patient is unsure of taking the particular steps recommended for a treatment, she can take a CD home that describes the treatment and review the information with other family members.
