Home Whitening
For at home whitening procedures, an impression is made of the patient’s teeth and a form or model is created. Then a custom tray for whitening is made from the model. The custom trays are filled with a mild whitening solution. Whitening agents force oxygen through the enamel of the tooth. Stains disappear and the tooth’s structure is not damaged. Patients wear the whitening solution over their teeth at night.

Bonding
Bonding is a procedure in which resin is applied to a tooth to change its appearance. This alteration could involve changing the color or contour of the tooth. In the procedure, the tooth is slightly roughened and the bonding material is color matched, applied, hardened with a high intensity light, and then sculpted and polished. Bonded restorations are highly durable, and they can significantly enhance a person’s smile.

Bridges – All Porcelain
Today’s all porcelain bridges are strong and durable. They eliminate the dark line often visible from the metal base in the older bridges. The translucent quality of the all porcelain bridge makes them hard to differentiate from the real teeth.

Crowns – All Porcelain
Crowns, or caps as they are also called, cover a tooth and add stability and strength to it, bring back its functionality, and restore its appearance. The all-porcelain crown does not have a metal base and the potential black line at the gums is eliminated. The tooth is reduced in size and shaped in order to have the crown fit correctly. The prepared crown is then cemented in place.

Veneers
Veneers are usually used to cover only the front and top of a tooth and are used to correct the shape or color of the tooth. A veneer is used often to cover stained teeth, to close the space between teeth, and to add length to small or misshapen teeth. The veneer itself is a thin covering of plastic or porcelain that is cemented or bonded to the tooth. Veneers essentially become a part of the teeth and can be used as one would use normal teeth.

White Fillings
With a white filling, only the decayed portion of the tooth need be removed, which leaves more of the original tooth structure in place. This makes for a healthier tooth structure. Instead of silver amalgam, porcelain and composite resin are used to fill the decayed tooth. These tooth colored options are more attractive and will not leak or darken your smile, as a silver amalgam filling will.
